2. Where it says yourschool in the file, change it to your actual school name -- open the file with excel
3. Add the head coach's name, cell phone & email
4. Add the full school name
5. Add athletes names as shown in the example
6. Use the drop down menu to add Gender, Division & Grade
7. Add your school's name
8. Save the sheet and email it to [email protected] with your school's name in the subject before October 13th 5:00 pm. Early entries are appreciated
9. Confirm you receive a confirmation email from Jason

Please register every athlete who may potentially run. No-shows are not a problem, but unregistered runners are.
Race numbers and will be provided for each athlete. Registration packages, which include numbers and pins,
will be available after 10:15 am. All athletes MUST wear the race numbers provided in the package pinned to the front their jersey. Please make sure the athlete is wearing the correct number.
Please recycle pins and unused numbers to the registration table.
Eligibility:
Runners must have completed at least one FVSSAA sanctioned races for his/her school team during the season prior to the Fraser Valley Championships. BC qualified FV runners must have completed at least three (including FVs) prior to the BC Championships. Club meets are NOT sanctioned. As per 2017 AGM “The Fraser Valley will not allow athletes to bye straight to BCs. All FV runners must complete the FV course to be eligible for BCs.”
All schools/athletes must meet the requirements of their district regulations and local athletic associations.
All schools must be registered with the Fraser Valley Athletic Association and B.C. School Sports.
Grade 8 must be registered in Grade 8
Junior must be in grades 8, 9 and/or 10
Senior must be in grades 8 to 12
Athletes may only run in ONE race.
Athletes may only compete for the school in which they are enrolled.
A school coach or approved representative(s) MUST be in attendance.
Coaches MUST bring a record of athlete race completion should eligibility issues arise.
Team Scoring & Approximate Distances (UPDATED 2018):
Para 1 km
Grade 8 Girls 3 km (top 3 count - 3 displace)
Grade 8 Boys 3 km (top 3 count - 3 displace)
Jr Girls 4 km (top 4 count - 3 displace)
Jr Boys 4 km (top 4 count - 3 displace)
Sr Girls 6 km (top 4 count - 3 displace)
Sr Boys 6 km (top 4 count - 3 displace)
Please when possible try to have league race distances build up to and match the above distances.
Males and females of the same age category must run the same distances.

Medals for the top 3 individuals
Rosettes from 4th - 10th
Banners for first place teams (7 gold medals – extras available at cost)
Picture Plaque for 1st place team

Fraser Valley Qualifications for the B.C. Provincial Championships (http://www.bcxc.ca/)
Coaches, please have a candid conversation with all your athletes (and families) about Fraser Valleys and qualifying to the BCs. Athletes must decide their intentions at the Fraser Valleys. This is necessary in order to advance athletes and teams who we are CERTAIN will be attending the BCs.
Sr Boys & Girls Top 8 teams Top 45 individuals for BC Sr Championships -- 4 count of 7
Jr Boys & Girls Top 8 teams Top 42 individuals for BC Jr Championships -- 4 count of 7
Gr 8 Boys & Girls No team Top 3 individuals for BC Jr Championships (may be added to existing Jr teams)
If an individual or team can't go to the BCs, the spot will be offered to next individual or team. The only exception is with Gr 8, where the individual spot will be offered to the next Junior individual.
No school may qualify two teams to any one BC championship race.
All BC qualifying individuals will be automatically entered into the BCs. Please check in with the table/Greg Worsley if you qualify and can’t go and/or just missed qualifying so we can maximize Fraser Valley presence at the BCs. Team registration must be sent electronically to Greg Worsley through this Google Sheet within 48 hours.
TEAM REGISTRATION LINK
Schools will be invoiced directly by BCSS after the BC Championships for all entries. As per the motion passed in 2015: A $100 fine may be imposed to a FV school that qualifies a team and does not show up to race as a team at the BC HS Championships. Greg Worsley will confirm BC registrations with schools before it is sent to www.bcxc.ca
